Our Services

Initial Evaluation (1 hour)
Inital

The initial evaluation is the first step for all patients. The purpose of this appointment is primarily to start the process of data collection with goal of better understanding the many components that constitute a person's health.

Prior to your appointment, you will be asked to fill out several health questionnaires. It is very important that you do so at least 7 days prior to your appointment to make the most out of our time together.

During your appointment, we will:

  • Discuss and review your medical history, current symptoms and primary medical concerns

  • Review your current lifestyle including: nutrition, physical activity, stressors and sleep habits

  • Discuss your health and wellness goals

At the end of the appointment, you will leave with:

  • Recommendations for initial lab tests (conventional as well as specialized) specifically selected on the basis of your symptoms and history

  • Recommendations for initial treatments to start while awaiting results of your lab test.

Common Conditions We Treat:
Common Conditions

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

HBOT

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a noninvasive treatment harnessing the healing powers of oxygen. Patients receive pure oxygen in a pressurized tube, resulting in improved absorption throughout the body. HBOT can be used at low-pressure or high-pressure depending on the indication. It can be used in a variety of medical conditions either as a primary or complementary therapy.

During low-pressure treatments, patients can bring tablets to listen to music or watch TV, although many fall asleep lying comfortably in the chamber. Treatments are typically well-tolerated with very few side and transient side effects, including mild light-headedness or popping in the ears. Sessions typically last 1-2 hours.

Other Conditions Which May Benefit from HBOT

Fortius-Chamber-Logo.jpg

To maximize the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen, we utilize 100% oxygen administered through an oxygen hood, which needs to be purchased prior to the first session and brought to all subsequent sessions. In rare cases when the patient cannot tolerate the oxygen hood, a face mask can be used; however, this reduces the amount of oxygen absorbed.

All patients interested in hyperbaric oxygen therapy must first make an initial evaluation appointment to determine if HBOT is appropriate. As functional medicine focuses on the individual, HBOT may not be for everyone. A personalized treatment plan will be developed following the consultation appointment and may be adjusted throughout the treatment course based on the patient's response to therapy.
